This is the best service your car can have we thoroughly check and test all the components on your car.

We start by lubricating your door hinges and locks and checking the interior switch gear, seatbelts, heater controls and all switch gear for operation, check the lights and wash wipe system for wear and operation.

We then move under the bonnet where we top up your screen wash, check your coolant for antifreeze concentration and top up, test your brake fluid for water content, check and top up all fluid levels, check auxiliary belts, carry out a battery test and alternator charging test and clean the engine bay. We then change your spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter (if required) and engine oil (flush is available at extra cost), replace the oil filter and refill the engine oil with required grade (long life and some full synthetic oils are at extra cost).

Once the car is in on the ramp we remove all the road wheels adjust tyre pressures and check tyres for wear and punctures/damage, we remove rear drums and clean, lubricate and adjust the brake shoes. We then measure the thickness of your brake pads and even the thickness of your brake discs, check the operation of brake callipers and that all brake components are free and well lubricated. We then check all brake pipes, fuel lines, exhaust system, suspension, and underside of the vehicle for damage, corrosion, wear and leaks.

We then refit the road wheels and torque them to the manufacturers specified tightness.

We then road test the vehicle and carry out an emissions check. The car is then vacuum cleaned inside, the dashboard and plastics cleaned then the outside is treated to a hand car wash and chamois dried.

Once we are half way through the service we will contact you and report any extra work that may be required and any extra work can be carried out at the time of service or you can choose to return at a later date.  Once the service is finished we will present you with a full vehicle condition report with all measurements and faults recorded on a service sheet completed by our technician. The bill is fully itemised so you can see exactly what your car has received and all parts come with a 12 month 20000 mile warranty!

This is a step down from the major service but by no means a lesser service, similar to the major service but with less service parts replaced therefore costing you less! Many garages would try and pass this off as a major service. We prefer the honest approach and call it our intermediate as that is what it is!

This is our lowest level service but is excellent value for money and ideal to combine with an MOT and gives you a good overview of your cars condition and helps keep it in good order.

We recommend this service every 6 months or 5000 miles in between major or intermediate servicing, before a long journey or as an extra at MOT time. We can carry out any service extras at the same time so check out the service extras below!

Brake fluid absorbs moisture from the air and becomes discoloured by corrosion and the rubber from the seals within the brake hydraulic system. In time brake fluid will become defective. Just like any oil it needs replacing from time to time and this safety critical item is often neglected. Failing to change brake fluid regularly can result in premature wear and failure of critical brake components and can cause catastrophic brake failure.

We test your brake fluid for water content and condition and advise changing if water content is above 2% or fluid is black, discoloured or contaminated.

When we change your fluid we thoroughly flush at least 2 litres of fluid through all the brake lines on your vehicle and replace with fresh fluid so the whole system has new fluid not just the reservoir!!

We recommend changing your brake fluid every 2 years or 20000 miles.

Your engines coolant is as important as its oil and is responsible for keeping your engine cool, lubricating moving parts within the cooling system, and dealing with extremes of temperature from –20 degrees to 1000 degrees. Water just simply isn’t up to the job and therefore it is a requirement that antifreeze is added to not only increase the efficiency of the water but also to prevent the water from freezing within the engine and causing major engine failure which could cost thousands!! In 2010 alone we repaired at least 40 cars that were damaged due to lack of antifreeze. The bills ranged from £250 to £2000 a lot more than the cost of the coolant change.

Antifreeze becomes 50% less effective after 2 years and we measure the effectiveness of your antifreeze by checking its freezing point. If its above –15 degrees or the coolant is discoloured or contaminated then it needs changing.

We drain your cooling system completely and flush out old coolant. We then refill your cooling system with fresh antifreeze and water at a 50% mix, most garages only give you a 30% mix!

We then pressure test the cooling system, warm the engine check the coolant is circulating properly and your thermostat and cooling fan is operating correctly. This ensures your car is protected to at least –30 degrees and ensures your water pump and heating system are kept in perfect condition.

We recommend changing your coolant every 2 years or 20000 miles.

Your gearbox does a lot of hard work! Often overlooked by most garages when servicing your vehicle it is probably one of the most costly parts to repair fitted to your vehicle besides its engine and in some cases is more expensive to replace than your engine! Most gearbox and axle failures are due to lack of oil or poor quality of oil due to it not having been changed regularly enough!

It is also essential that the correct oil is used to ensure perfect gear changes and to prevent wear to the gearbox. If your gearbox was to fail it could cost thousands to repair despite the inconvenience and the potential engine and drive train damage that could occur.

Our transmission oil change includes removing all old oil from the gearbox and axle or differential units (where fitted) and replacing the oil with high quality oil of the correct grade for your vehicle. Where transmission oil filters are fitted these will be cleaned or replaced where necessary and all oil breathers checked and cleaned. This will help keep one of the most expensive parts of your car in tip top condition and good for thousands of miles of hassle free motoring.

We recommend a transmission oil change every 2 years or 20000 miles.

Over time your engines oil system will become contaminated with carbon deposits and sludge caused by the engine oil breaking down and blockages in breather systems. An oil change will not remove some of these deposits and these deposits can block small oil ways within the engine causing premature wear and eventual failure of expensive engine components.

Symptoms of this can be a noisy engine, high emissions or black sludge on the oil filler cap.

We add the flush before we change the oil run the engine up to operating temperature then drain the oil and replace with fresh oil and oil filter. This can prolong the life of your engine and reduce harmful emissions keeping your engine in perfect condition.

We recommend an oil flush at every service or oil change.

Over time your cars fuel system becomes contaminated and clogged with sludge and carbon deposits, your engines injectors can become clogged and your engines combustion chambers can become blocked with carbon deposits. The exhaust system and catalytic convertor can become blocked and less effective.

All of these lead to poor running, bad emissions and poor fuel economy. These can result in expensive repairs.

We have fuel treatments available for all petrol and diesel engines they are added to the fuel in the tank and allowed to run through the fuel system cleaning everything from the fuel tank and lines through to the exhaust system and everything in between. This can restore lost power, improve fuel economy and prevent expensive repair bills and break downs.

We recommend a fuel treatment every 3 months or at least on every service.

Because your car gets you to and from work, collects your children from school, takes you on holiday and is relied on. It needs to be reliable and safe and servicing is the best way to achieve this!
